POLICY ON USE OF SCHOOL LAPTOP COMPUTER

In December 2011 upon the upgrading of the school's mobile internet modem, the school also acquired a laptop computer as part of the package deal. The laptop computer:: currently in possession of the school is a LENOVO. This has prompted the need for the school to have a policy on the use of this COMPUTER.
This computer is strictly and solely for use by the Head of the Institution. The Principal can delegate the use and responsibility of this computer to the Deputy Principal in his/her absence. This computer is for the sole use of school related matters and will at all times be in the possession of the Principal. In the absence of the Principal it will be in the possession of the Deputy Principal.
This computer cannot be used by any member of staff without written permission from the Principal. The reason for this is that the computer will have classified data which is highly confidential
