WELCOME TO
SPRINGFIELD HINDU PRIMARY SCHOOL

Springfield Hindu Primary School was first established in 1903 as a Mission school by the Missionaries. In 1947, however it was not financially viable for Missionaries to continue running the school. In that year it was purchased by a community organization formed solely to take over the running of the school. Hence the Springfield Hindu SABHA was formed made up of members of the local community.

The school also has a history of being a State Aided School with a grantee. In the 1990s, however it became a Public school on Private property (Section 14) and this is its current status. It has a quintile ranking of 5 and is a Section 21 school with function C.
